Sometimes in business it’s hard to help people understand why they need to buy your product or service.
With so many companies selling the same products and services, it makes it difficult for people to select one business over another, especially in Los Angeles where there is already an abundant number of companies doing business in the city.
If you’ve tried sharing client testimonials, sending a sales letter, or even offering a discount and that hasn’t gotten people’s attention.
Then consider writing a case study and send them to potential clients who are in need of your product or service.
What’s a case study?
Business case studies are histories of business initiatives that highlight successful implementations of products and services at specific customers.
The purpose for your case study is to persuade others to buy your products or services using real–world examples.
Business case studies can be effective marketing tools.
There is no need to have a case study for every client.
Pick the top three satisfied clients that you’ve recently done business with and write a case study for each one.
However, writing an effective case study requires precise research and full honesty in the information your company puts out.
Make sure you contact the company and get their written approval to use their name and likeness. This will avoid any unnecessary future liability issues.
Create an outline of what you want to include in your case study. Include a short introduction that summarizes the client’s solution, a description of how the client’s business problem was solved by your solution, an outline of the financial results (you can use a graphic to show the results, if necessary), and a conclusion that ties everything together.
Then, write the case study in the third person using an appealing but not too conversational tone that fits within the customer’s industry. Always use quotations throughout the case study from key contacts.
Spell check, proofread and edit the case study extensively.
Invest in hiring a professional graphic design company to create an attractive, compelling design that matches your overall corporate identity.
Distribute the case study only to the target market you are seeking to conduct business with.
It’s best if you print and mail them, however, sending a PDF version for e-mailing is acceptable.
Post the case study on your website.
