Of course this works for other people too! Start by adding lots of vegetables. Don’t take anything away from your usual diet yet, just start eating lots of vegetables. Which ever ones you like, simply eat some more of them. Go ahead and eat whatever you normally would for meals, just add more vegetables to it. Chlorophyll = Skinny. It’s a simple yet magically effective formula. Humans were not meant to be strict herbivores; therefore, filling up on plants makes us lose weight. Snack on vegetables whenever you wish, morning, noon or night. If your tummy growls aggressively, add a piece of bread, or a cracker. Raw, boiled, steamed or broiled, veggies are mostly water, vitamins, and minerals. Some have negligible fats, like avocados or olives, but these vegetable fats are unlikely to be the root of anyone’s weight problems. You’d have to be an avocado farmer with a fondness for bacon.
Add in all the fruit you want, whichever ones you want, tropical or temperate. Fruits are Nature’s candy, the bearers of Vitamin C, and the reason we crave sweetness. The human body wants fructose and Vitamin C. Fruits taste good, and they are caloric freebies. Nibble on them at any time throughout the day. These changes, daily exercise, and drinking lots of water, should get you back to your pre-pregnancy size, or at least rev up your metabolism. Please note; too much fruit can give some people diarrhea. Use common sense. Apples are full of pectin, and it’s almost impossible to eat too many, just as it is nearly impossible to drink too much water, under ordinary circumstances.
Breastfeeding burns about a thousand calories a day. That’s a great fat burner, and it’s a limited time offer. Take full advantage of it. Drinking lots of water while your body is producing fat-burning hormones is a fantastic deal. Not only that, but you’re saving money on formula! A thrifty mom thrill!
After adding the fruits and veggies, you should still have taken nothing away, yet still be eating less of it because of having filled up on watery fiber. Eating all that watery fiber will fill your stomach, and make you feel full. Eat a salad before the main meal. There is a reason restaurants do this. Do you think they want you filling up on steak and crab? Not a chance. This is the first permanent step in changing eating habits permanently. Let the positive changes eclipse the negative old ones. If you’re still not losing weight, it’s time to examine what else you’re eating.
