‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ star Peter Facinelli appears on ‘Regis and Kelly’ – Peter Facinelli of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse based on the bestseller by Stephenie Meyer, appeared on Live with Regis and Kelly Monday morning to promote the film. The actor plays the father figure vampire of the Cullen family in the Twilight series.
Mr. Facinelli is popular with fans because of his accessibility and generosity with them. For example, when fans camped out in Los Angeles days before the Eclipse premiere, he showed up and walked around “tent city,” signing fans’ tents.
On Monday’s program, he spoke about juggling his two roles between the Twilight films and his part on the TV series, Nurse Jackie. “Time zones really mess me up,” he said.
About the movies, he said:
“The fourth we start filming in November. They’re going to split the fourth book into two movies. I’m a big fan of the books, so for me to able be a part of it and be able to build this character and have a say in this character, it’s special for me. Thankfully, the fans enjoyed my interpretation of it.”
Mr. Philbin asked about a fan who has a tattoo of his name.
Peter Facinelli said, “I did an autograph signing, and she asked me to sign my name on her wrist. An hour later she came back and had it tattooed on her wrist. So, I’m hoping that she doesn’t have any regrets.”
