We’ve all heard of love triangles making their way into television shows — with “True Blood,” however, things are far more complicated than that.
In a new interview with E! Online, Joe Manganiello (who plays werewolf Alcide) had this to say about an upcoming potential confrontation between his character and that of Alexander Skarsgard’s Eric:
“Obviously, Bill and Sookie have been having some problems, and Alcide is in a very interesting position as far as all of that goes. And Eric steps into the mix as well.
“Werewolves and vampires don’t like each other to begin with. You will wind up seeing Eric and Alcide together at some point. When I was being cast, I heard that they were looking for somebody as tall or taller than Alex because they wanted somebody who could square off against him. I’ll just say that.”
So when will this face-off actually happen? Though it may not be this week, we will certainly be pushed closer in the direction thanks to the bonding that is going on right now between Sookie and Alcide.
Who do you think would be a more interesting partner for Sookie — Alcide or Eric? Feel free to share your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more of the latest TV news. To view photos from the “True Blood” premiere, follow the link here.
