“True Beauty” started off this week with its final three — Erika, Taylor, and Craig — and we were finally at the time when the “Face of Vegas” was revealed in all of its corny glory. Craig came back from elimination to dash the hopes and dreams of the final two, and following that we had the next dramatic moment of the episode — Taylor lost his jeans! (Cue dramatic repose.)
The final challenge this week involved getting a celebrity to accompany all over town, and so we could already wonder what kind of Z-listers these people would be. The funny thing? Craig though he’d be meeting Bon Jovi. Instead, you get Steve-O! This is like expecting a pony for Christmas and getting a vampire bat.
It was the crazy guy’s job to peer pressure everyone into acting like idiots, and so of course it worked with these people — there were dishes breaking, and no one strangely seemed to care in the restaurant.
If you thought that was the full challenge, though, think again. The cruel people behind the curtain then made everyone film a commercial for Las Vegas. The first guy in Taylor didn’t have too much trouble with this, though Erika at one point suddenly decided she had enough and wanted to quit. In the end, though, she kept it together long enough to do a halfway-decent commercial. Craig forgot some of his lines, but had a decent amount of energy.
The curtain is lifted
After weeks of thinking the conversation was about superficiality, Carlson handed the final three a key to the spy room. There, they really learned exactly what this competition was about. Everyone instantaneously looked like complete and total jerks for some of their actions, and they then had to spend twenty minutes regretting everything they have done so far.
Vanessa handed everyone one final question to think about — are you a true beauty? The judges began their deliberating based on what they’ve seen so far, and the ultimately came to the conclusion that all three finalists have good qualities, even if they make mistakes from time to time.
During the face-off, Erika defended herself against allegations that she was “fake”, and Craig literally handed back the vest he took earlier in the competition. Taylor, meanwhile, barely said anything. The judges then took off to deliberate.
So who is the ultimate “True Beauty”? The first person to be eliminated was Craig, who ultimately was probably done in with his actions in the very first episode.
Then, we were down to just Taylor and Erika, and the athletic guy took home the title. Taylor was the winner, and would therefore be the new “Face of Vegas”.
