E! Online (@eonline) tweeted earlier today: “Paul Rudd Dies; Paul Rudd Doesn’t.” Not trying to confuse anyone, but Paul Rudd of Clueless and Role Models fame is, indeed, still alive and kicking. However, in a sad coincidence for the ages, actor Paul Rudd of Hart to Hart and Knots Landing fame lost his battle with pancreatic cancer last Thursday. More on the matter can be found here.
In other Hollywood tweets, British actor/comedian, Russell Brand (@rustyrockets), thought he’d have a little fun with Jennifer Garner’s husband, Ben Affleck. Brand tweeted: “Spent all day snogging Jen Garner, AMAZING! No wonder Matt Damon’s always grinning- he’s the luckiest man alive.” Brand and Garner are currently shooting the remake of the 1981 classic Arthur together. At last report, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are still friends.
Ever wonder how you can land your own Reality TV show? Curse people out. Steal some beers. And, stop a plane full of people on the runway by inflating the yellow emergency slide and say, “Peace out!” According to a tweet today by The A.V. Club (@The_AV_Club), JetBlue’s disgruntled flight attendant, Steven Slater, has been offered a Reality TV deal. Will the hype last long enough for his deal to bear fruit, or will the World Wide Web stop caring? More info can be found here.
A Trend Off the Top:
Today’s Top Trend is… Yep. You guessed it: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. So, in hopes of sounding redundant, we have found the perfect Twitter link to fill the void.
Greensboro’s very own News and Record (@NewsandRecord) tweeted that at 6:49 am this morning, local police responded to a Breaking and Entering call at the Red Lobster on Wendover Ave. What they found was a man that destroyed over $30,000 worth of property. The icing on the cake: he took the time to cook a pizza and tasted some desserts in the process. More on the story can be located here.
