It was one thing to hear it and another to see it. We’ve all been warned from upcoming previews that Final 3 Bachelor, Frank, leaves Ali high and dry in Tahiti for a girlfriend back home. Well tonight he actually went through with it. We see Frank confess to the cameras that although he had been falling in love with Ali, he also started to think more and more about his ex-girlfriend Nicole back home in Chicago. So, prior to taking off for Tahiti, Franks goes back to Chicago to confront Nicole, the ex. Just when it looked like he would have seen the light and gone back to Tahiti to be with Ali, turns out he’s stll in love with Nicole (as she is with him saying he completes her) & wants to be with Nicole! Frank then heads to Tahiti to share this news with Ali who is none too happy. More than anything Ali feels that Frank was selfish by not being honest from the beginning. He claims that these feeling didn’t show up until later. Ali was obviously devasted but grateful at the same time to have the last 2 men standing be of honor, respectful and integrity.
That leaves the final 2 men who are vying for Ali’s heart to be Roberto & Chris. One of whom will supposedly propose in Bora Bora on Aug. 2. Her Tahiti dates with both of these guys went well, both even opting for the overnightfantasy suites. She sincerely seems to have feelings for both & vice versa. I have to say of all the season’s of the Bachelorettes these final 2 seem to be the most genuine. It would still appear to seem that she and Roberto are the obvious choice, though Chris would make for a very loyal boyfriend/husband. We see how devoted his father was to his mother on the hometown dates and easy to see the acorn wouldn’t fall too far from the tree.
The Bachelorette is a microcosm of what we all go through in the dating world. Ali quoted what her best friend said when in conversation with host, Chris Harrison that “Noone can make you feel inferior without your consent.” After getting over the shock of Frank leaving, she seems to be back on track & said she had “high hopes that her husband was still there.” We will find out in 2 weeks on Mon. Aug. 2, 2010 on ABC at 8 pm. who gets the final rose and who proposes. Next week at the same time slot is the “Men Tell All” show which should be a fun one given all the different personalities this season.
Here’s to hoping Ali, after all she’s been through, gets her happy ending, offering hope to the rest of us who want to believe in happy ever after.
