Laclede Gas, a St. Louis based natural gas company along with Talent Plus Entertainment know how to throw a great party, to get people downtown and to introduce a nice new addition to the ever changing downtown landscape. Parties on the Plaza is a summer event at the beautiful Post Office Square Plaza that runs until September 15, 2010 and features some of the talented musicians in town.
Wednesday, August 17, 2010, Locals and tourist alike got chance to enjoy the sounds of Hudson & the Hoo Doo Cats as an very entertainment grand mom dance as the wind took her to another level. There were several businesses sponsoring this event with booth set up to show off their products and ideas.
The Newsletter promotions 2005 met up with St. Louis Blues hockey account executive John Ampleman, who gave the crowd the opportunity to win Blues Tickets, an autographed jersey and a hockey stick. A St. Louis Metropolitan police officer was one the lucky winners of the set of tickets that were given away.
Jennie MC Kire, Lacey Johnson and Jeannet Foncesca all with The Merchandise Mart apartments leasing department, were on hand to pass out information about this historic building and answer any questions for those who were looking to relocate.
There were representatives from Denver here in town enjoying the activities as they prepared for a big ZamZuu convention at the American Center. Clear.com also had a booth letting people know about the new fastest Internet plan to hit St. Louis.
There were opportunities to grab a free drink ticket or two and get your drink on ($5 otherwise) at the several bars set up at the Plaza with Flannery’s having the best Margaritas to satisfy that longing for pure enjoyment.
The food booths were smoking and St. Louis Sports Commission also jumped out at the crowd with their information on State Farm Arch Rivalry 2010. This is the third series of Parties on the Plaza with the last event been scheduled for Sept 15, 9 days after Labor Day.
NHTSA wants you be safe because Labor Day is the second deadliest holiday with 487 fatalities in 2008, which is an alarming amount of deaths for one day. 40% were indeed alcohol related. If you are drinking please utilize public transportation or call a taxicab.
Post Office Square Plaza is located at the foot of the lovely Robert Towers slated for immediate occupancy.
