I came across a how-to-do-it article that guides you on what to do if you are caught speeding over 100 miles per hour. At that speed you are no longer just speeding, you are driving recklessly, and that is a bigger ticket.
The author covered the basics, like be polite, never admit how fast you were going, but don’t lie. Hire a lawyer and definitely do not offer the officer a bribe!
Craig Howie covered the fines $500 to $2500), license suspension and even jail time.
Also presented were when you need to call a lawyer.
You can see one suggestion is offered on how to get out of the ticket: Ask for a warning. You should be aware that this should not be expected to work, especially if you have been traveling at 100 mph or greater!
I do have a suggestion: PRAY!
I say this because prayer is the only thing that can possibly get you off the hook. You should also pray that you are safe and unharmed and that you didn’t harm anyone else. Please pray and ask for God’s help in controlling your racing urges while on the road. You might just want to take a racing course at a speedway.
Someone recently introduced me to a bumper sticker that is also related to reckless driving:
HONK IF YOU LOVE JESUS.
TEXT IF YOU WANT TO MEET HIM TODAY!
Drive safely out there, OK?
