A stalker allegedly threatened actress, Jenniner Aniston, TMZ reports. Aniston had a restraining order filed against Jason Peyton, 24, after he was found with a sharp object, duct tape, and disturbing messages towards the actress.
Stalker waited for actress
The incident reportedly occurred July 15 when documents reveal Petyon was discovered “laying-in-wait in a location he believes she frequents with a sharp object, a bag, a roll of duct tape and written messages about (Aniston).”
Jennifer Aniston’s lawyer indicated in the filed documents TMZ obtained that Peyton spent eight days trying to locate her before he was caught and taken into custody. At that time, police discovered painted messages on his car reading, “I LOVE YOU JENNIFER ANISTON.”
Peyton has a history of mental illness, obsessions, and being delusional. Violence is part of his past as well as criminal stalking. Documents explain he allegedly drove from Pennsylvania to LA on a “mission” to find Jennifer Aniston, whom he believes he’s in a relationship with.
Once the 24-year-old was arrested, he was put on a 5150 pyschiatric hold, TMZ reports.
Restraining order applies to every part of Aniston’s life
In the restraining order against Aniston’s stalker, he must stay 100 yards away from her house, work environment, and vehicles. Peyton must also stay clear of Aniston’s agents, managers, reps, and employees.
Aniston’s stalker left a note his dad found in Pennsylvania on June 25, stating he was on his way to California and his dad knew it meant his son was hunting up the actress. Peyton’s dad let the cops know to be on the lookout for his son.
Peyton’s violent past involves him stabbing himself and even striking his own mother with a golf club. In addition, he’s been institutionalized and ordered to take anti-psychotic drugs. Authorities confirmed the the disturbed man quit taking them in March.
Threatening criminal thinks he’s related to other stars
The delusional nature of Jason Peyton doesn’t end with Jennifer Aniston. TMZ reports the stalker believes he’s related to several celebrities, including Oprah Winfrey, Nelson Mandella, Jennifer Lopez, and a host of others.
The LAPD Threat Management Unit is active in the Jennifer Aniston stalking case, according to TMZ.
Portland, Ore. no stranger to threatening stalker crimes
In a 1994-1998 study, Portland, Oregon was one of ten U.S. cities that had a 76 percent ratio of women being killed by men who stalked them. It’s a staggering number, but Oregon has since worked on more stringent restraining orders in protecting women. Portland, along with other cities in America, struggle with stalking and violence against women at an alarming rate.
