On Sunday, August 22, the spectacular Qi Xi Performance (pronounced CHEE SHEE) returns to Millennium Park in celebration of the Chinese love folklore tale. This performance, including music, martial arts and dance, celebrates the ancient Chinese love story of Niuland and Zhinu, the cowherd and the weaver fairy, in a colorful mobile performance that will moves throughout the park. The celebration is the Chinese equivalent of Valentine’s Day.
The performance, presented by Chicago’s Chinese Fine Arts Society, begins at 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 at locations throughout the park.
