It’s real simple here. Random ordered reactions and reviews of what went down on RAW tonight. How interesting is it to read yet another boring results report? If you want that check out wwe’s official results at www.wwe.com
RAW started off hot out of the gate with
a triple threat match to name a #1 Contender for the WWE Championship at Summerslam.
- Randy Orton beat Edge and Chris Jericho in one of the best RAW matches in last few weeks. It was back and forth between all three wrestlers with the entire match brought to a fever pitch. Each one of them were able to hit there finishing moves, but Orton nailed two RKOs on his two opponents to win it. Orton is over like rover right now. His face turn has settled into a hot streak recently and the time is right for this title match.
711 WWE CUPS ARE A SUMMER TIME GUILTY PLEASURE
This is a promotion WWE did last year with 711, where they release Slurpee and soda cups with various wrestlers and divas on them in cool designs. They even added crazy straws with little Undertaker and Rey Mysterio’s figures on them. Usually this merch is something you just ignore and let the kidds gobble it up. This Examiner caved and bought a fancy Big Show cup to add to my collection from last year with Edge and Undertaker.
- Maryse had her leg on the ropes! Her boyfriend, Dibase being mad was interesting. John Morrison hitting him with the Starship Pain has to set up a match between the two. Eve and Maryse were pretty ‘blah’ in their match.
The Miz is a stalker and a fan of the Police
The Miz is proving himself to be quite the talker in WWE. His promo tonight laid out a sense of ‘what will he do’ to his run with the Money in the Bank briefcase. His line tonight were he used a lyric from the Police, “every breathe you take, every move you make, i’ll be watching you’. His post-match attack on Shaemus was brutal. You should rewind your DVRs to see the Celtic Warrior’s head smack off the briefcase from Miz’s Skull Crushing Finale.
Evan Bourne can kick up a storm
Bourne was the WWE Champion’s randomly announced opponent tonight and boy did he put up a fight. Shaemus was bigger and badder so he won, but Bourne is just fun to watch. Did you hear the kick Bourne landed when he got pushed into the corner?! It was loud and gave the big Irishman rubber legs. He’s so dynamic and fast. Hopefully, he can build a personalty to go with his amazing athletic talents.
Nexus has got people quaking in their boots
Wade Barret and Nexus have brought their roles back around. Barret is bright young star with his wrestling ability and his gift of gab. It’s smart of WWE to make him the mouth piece of this group which made up mostly by ‘green’ wrestlers. Barret faced off with Marc Henry and with a distraction from his Nexus bros, he dump slammed Henry off the top. Barret barely got him over his head for the move, but Henry’s 400 lbs frame hit the ring hard.
Cena and his Dream Team
The final segment of the show with Cena was pretty awkward at first with WWE’s biggest hero tucking his tail and walking away. Cena revealing it was a Jedi mind trick to see if Nexus was game for a big fight, was a sweet twist. A sweeter twist was Cena ushering out a ‘dream team’ to take on Nexus at Summerslam. The team is pretty impressive, outside of the Great Kahli. Was anyone else surprised to see Bret “the Hitman” Hart come out to join the team? Did we not all think his deal was done with the WWE?
