Runes of Magic, by Frogster America got a much needed patch on August 10th. This patch featured many needed fixes as well as some new content for those who had reached the end game. Frogster America also tweaked some of the skills for each class to bring more of a balance to the game’s player vs player content. The way mana was used was also changed drastically. That was until Runes of Magic players voiced their strong opinion against it, causing Frogster to roll it back to the way it was with a hotfix. A whole load of new armor and weapons were added to account for the level 60 cap, as well as the addition of the new area, Northern Janost Forest.
Experienced players are not the only ones who got new content, with newbies getting the addition of a new pet. This pet follows around players of low level to help them by giving them tips. These tips can range from what to do to start out to reminding players to up their skills by using their tp points. This newbie pet also helps players out from time to time by either buffing them or throwing them a heal.
