The Democrat governor of New York has failed to get the site of the planned Ground Zero Mosque moved. The survivors of Sept. 11 and families of murdered Americans have been attacked as bigots and repeatedly ignored by the government of New York City. The failure of Americans to keep Muslims and their apologists from establishing a monument to the same god that promised the 9/11 terrorists their 72 virgins is certain. So Obama thinks now is the perfect time to step in and extend his blessing on the Ground Zero Mosque.
After weeks of Obama’s mouthpiece Gibbs insisting that it was a ‘local issue’, the man who called America that world’s ‘largest Muslim nation’ once again condescended to intervene in his people’s affairs. The Washington Post reports that the Mosque would ‘honor’ the site where nearly 3,000 Americans died at the hands of Islam. Bloomberg, who has been fighting on the side of the Muslims for the duration of this battle, was excited by the news.
The Daily Mail gave voice to the victims and their families. Debra Burlingame, whose brother was one of the pilots murdered by the hijackers before they flew his plane into the Pentagon, spoke for the survivors and families of victims of the attacks, saying, ‘Barack Obama has abandoned America at the place where America’s heart was broken nine years ago, and where her true values were on display for all to see.’
The Mail also reported that House Minority leader John Boehner answered Obama’s advocacy for the Muslims. Congressman Boehner remarked, ‘The fact that someone has the right to do something doesn’t necessarily make it the right thing to do. That is the essence of tolerance, peace and understanding.’
Even some Democrats are appalled by Obama’s opposition to Americans in favor of Muslims. A Democratic Floridian candidate for Congress, Jeff Greene, remarked, ‘President Obama has this all wrong and I strongly oppose his support for building a mosque near ground zero, especially since Islamic terrorists have bragged and celebrated destroying the Twin Towers and killing nearly 3,000 Americans.’ He further added that while ‘freedom of religion might provide the right to build the mosque’ he agreed with Boehner that ‘common sense and respect for those who lost their lives and loved ones’ dictates that it should be built elsewhere.
He wasn’t alone, either. During yet another tax-payer funded vacation, Obama found himself under fire for being a Muslim apologist and said, ‘my intention was simply to let people know what I thought.’ Some interviewees found that remark interesting considering the number of references he made to ‘we as Americans’. A Germantown man said, ‘I always find it amusing when Obama claims to speak for the American people and then has to shuffle around when he finds out what we really think of him.’ Two of his companions, one from Cordova and another visiting from Virginia both agreed that Obama involving himself was insulting. The Cordova man made an interesting observation, though, saying ‘has anyone noticed that Obama only said anything after they failed to get the mosque moved?’
