Starting on July 21st MegaBus will have a new service running from Boston’s South Station to Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station and back. There will be 3 routes each day. It looks like so far those routes will be:
From Boston- 7:45 am, 12:15 am, and 4:00 pm, each trip lasting approximately 5 1/2 to 6 hours.
From Philadelphia- 8:40am, 4:10pm, and 11:59pm.
While this may seem like a long trip when you consider that going from Boston to Philadelphia via air takes an hour and a half to two hours, plus security, and being completely unconnected to the world (no blackberry, no internet) taking the bus can sometimes be a great idea. It’s also great for a budget conscious business traveler with one way rates often being under $10.
All MegaBus coaches come with free Wi-Fi, power outlets, and on board bathrooms. All busses are also Eco Friendly. Rest stops are provided on longer trips.
