Encore Beach Club at the Wynn is a great 21+ adult escape for locals and tourists in Las Vegas. Those that are visiting or taking a staycation can feel like they have experienced a resort pool party without having to pay premium resort prices. Although if you can afford a stay at the Wynn, this could be a complete weekend experience. There is an entrance fee, but this allows for a full day of lounging, music, and pool people watching.
This fairly new addition, opened in May 2010, to the Strip club scene is a popular hang out during the hot days of summer. The 60,000-square foot venue was created by Wynn Resort to encompass the latest state of the art sound and light system with lush resort style. Steve Wynn himself oversaw the opening day and made recommendations on the tiniest of details creating the perfect environment.
Since the scene is “night clubby” wear a festive cover up and a bathing suit you feel sexy in. Hats, sunglasses, sunscreen and your needed sundries are essential and fashionable. If you find that you need something there is a gift shop right next to the pool. Cover ups are required to enter the casino and the management requests that bathing suits not be see through. There is no European bathing permitted and you have to be in swimwear, not athletic wear, jeans cut-off or otherwise to enter. Towels are provided and seating for general admission are the chaise lounges. Get there early because the lounges are first come first serve. If you arrive and find that all the seats are taken, pull up a side of the pool deck and move around as the sun or interesting people transcend across the landscape.
There is full service dining available at your lounge or pool deck and of course a full serve bar at your beck and call. The portions are generous so sharing is suggested. Just order more if your still hungry. The Caesar salad and the fresh fruit plate are great. If you would like to feel you have had a day out at restaurant, the menu is also offered on the dining patio.
If your feeling lucky there is a gaming pavilion where you can gamble in your bathing suit. If the temperature is especially extreme there are shower pools and misters to keep you cool and a walk up bar if you want to see your tropical concoction being created from their large assortment of spirits.
The Beach Club is open Friday – Monday and on Thursday from about 12pm – 7 pm, but check their website for updated hours, admission prices, guest DJ’s and special events at http://www.encorebeachclub.com.
For the least amount of hassle, order your tickets online and hold them at will call. Park in the Encore self-parking garage and walk around to the front of Wynn and enter from the street. You can also walk through the casino an marvel at the red Murano Glass chandeliers, and the first naturally lit casino in Las Vegas. The windows are positioned to take advantage of the sunlight to illuminate the interior. To maximize the scenery experience, all the windows overlook pools.
If you are celebrating something special or want to go all out, check into renting a cabana. Cabanas are private curtained rooms along side of the pool on the first and second floor. Each Cabana has a flat screen TV, refrigerator and private host to wait on you during your stay. The second floor cabanas overlook the pool and have a small balcony overlooking Las Vegas Boulevard a.k.a. The Strip. This requires a minimum bottle service, at least 1 bottle for 4 people, but this can vary based on the day. You will need to call a Cabana Host to make arrangements and get pricing at 702-365-5864.
