The question is how is it that we may connect with Torah being infinite in design with a finite mind that is reaching for expression within that divine?
Recognize that each moment is tied together with the infinite. Because of this every time bound thought is meant to pass through the infinite on its way to becoming finite. It is the way of all things. This process may be likened to watching a production timeline where at any given point along the way you could gauge the progress of the work taking place. What the mind accepts it becomes.
It is perfection that we are speaking of in the moment. This happens when you say yes to all that is around you. What this means is that as your thoughts unwind they become what is contained within their essence. Look around you and connect with every connection that you are in contact with. This of course means every connection whatsoever. As you do this you begin to get a sense of the totality of all being. Now withdraw your attention from what is around you. Experience the same sense of totality. Without or within all is one.
Come closer to perfection it is the sense of being all while being one. This experience moves within you and grows from the inside out. It is called perfect because every choice follows directly from another and all in concert with the above. In every instance of awareness there is the place where thought becomes infused with action. This action is the synthesis of above and below.
Pick a place anywhere within the mind stream. It is from this place where everything evolves from. How can this be? It is because the beginning is never lost. It remains ever present no matter where you go. It is this same idea that carries itself through all of Torah. When we study one part we are always connected to the beginning. In addition the pathways are linked within Torah so that every pathway leads to a corresponding reflection depending upon the concept that is being explained in the moment.
Now if we run with this idea of imminent eternal connection represented by all that is within Torah we may then study Torah with a confidence in mind that leads to ever increasing levels of meaning. This confidence is borne out by the fact that we understand that everywhere in Torah is holy. It is holy because the totality may be accessed from any place we land upon. In the same way as explained above as we touch a thought that is connected to Torah or our study of the same this thought then assumes a level of holiness as well. It is within that level of holiness that all of our insights come about and add to the worlds without end ever present there.
Devarim 23:24. Observe and do what is emitted from your lips just as you have pledged to the Lord, your God, as a donation, which you have spoken with your mouth.
The preceding is spoken of in relation to the making of a vow which must then be carried out, however, it also applies to our Torah study. When we look inside of Torah we are there in connection with holiness. What we set our eyes upon to study is also like a pledge that we have given in the pursuit of the higher wisdom that Torah offers. It is then in this way that the finite mind connects with the infinite and in the process becomes one. B”H.
