Anyone who has published a book, won a literary award, is passionate about literacy in Detroit and Michigan may be eligible to appear on Motown’s Literary Network radio program, which airs Wednesdays form 5-6 p.m. featuring everything literary, from the writing process to author highlights, to publishing. Guests of the show don’t have to be from Detroit or Michigan but must either be Michigan authors or have a book/books about Michigan, or have knowledge about services, education or an upcoming literary event in Michigan.
Before considering being a guest, it’s useful to become familiar with the radio program as well as the Motown Writers Network and the Michigan Literary Network, which was established in 2000 by Sylvia Hubbard. It’s main mission is to ‘connect readers to Michigan literary works, educate and connect writers and poets to resources, proved events for authors to showcase their work and a lot more.’
