Summer months bring on county fairs and that means homebrew contests. The Chico Home Brew club has had their summer competition and you can find their results here. The Bay Area Brew Off (aka BABO), held at the Alameda County Fair, has published their results as well. The Draught Board runs BABO and results are here. The Amador County Fair’s homebrew competition is coming up. The Brew Angles are sponsoring that competition and are currently taking entries; information on submitting entries can be found here. Entries are being taken up to Saturday July 10th. Entries may be dropped at The Good Brewer as well as at the Fair itself.
The thing about home brew competitions is the amount of feedback you can get on your brewing. Many brew clubs in the East Bay actively support their members to improve their brewing techniques, among them entering homebrew competitions.
