Established in 1967 by Matthew “Memo” Zaleski, Hilliard Lakes is family owned and has received a “4-Star Rating” from Golf Digest.
Weekday rates are $15 to walk 9 holes and $21 to ride. Walking 18 holes will set you back $23, but for $30 golfers get 18 holes, a cart, hot dog and soda. That deal is good Monday through Thursday until 1 p.m. and Friday until 3 p.m.
Weekend rates are $29 to walk and $41 to ride 18 holes ($17 and $23 for 9 holes). Senior rates also are available Monday through Friday.
The “Customer Appreciation Special” is another opportunity to save. Golfers can buy five weekday, 9-hole rounds for $75 and receive two 9-hole rounds for free – a savings of $30.
Dubbed “Northeast Ohio’s Lil’ Augusta,” Hilliard Lakes is a 6985-yard, 18-hole layout with tree-lined fairways and strategically placed water hazards. The large greens and manicured fairways are guarded by more than 60 sand traps. These subtle design features should bring out every club in the bag.
The practice facilities include a 10-station driving range and putting green, while a snack bar and lounge offer refreshment at the turn or following a round.
