Police from Gwinnett County are trying to recover thousands of dollars in police equipment assigned to the Narcotics department. Authorities say the department noticed the equipment missing months ago after an audit that was part of an internal investigation.
In March when an undetermined amount of cocaine went missing the investigation began. The amount is unspecified. The cocaine was intended to be used for undercover drug buys. Gwinnett Police spokesman Brian Kelly says most of the equipment is computer related equipment.
