If your child enjoys LEGOs (and what child doesn’t?!), there’s a wonderful freebie right now for teachers and homeschoolers, and a fun contest as well.
Through the end of July, LEGO is accepting registrations for their LEGO Smart Creativity Contest for educators. They’re providing free kits of LEGO bricks for all teachers who sign up. Teachers are asked to create a lesson plan with the provided LEGOs.
Now through July 2010, LEGO® Education is inviting K-12 teachers and home educators from across the United States to register as contestants for the 2010 LEGO® Smart™ Creativity Contest, challenging classrooms coast to coast to become LEGO Smart!
The 2010 contest, including prize information and contest rules, will be emailed to all pre-registered contestants on Monday, August 2, 2010, starting at 8am CST.
Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible for the LEGO Smart Creativity Contest you must be a teacher, home educator, after-school program director, or otherwise working with students (K-12) within the education field.
To sign up: Visit the LEGO Smart Creativity Contest site. If you received a kit last year, you are not eligible to receive a second kit, but you can still participate in the contest.
Be sure to order your kit by the deadline of July 31st!
