I know it’s getting hot this week in Phoenix, but believe it or not, we’re only a few weeks away from the first day of school for the Madison School District and many other Phoenix area schools. With back-to-school comes fall sports.
Now that Spain just won the FIFA World Cup, many kids may want to get out and play soccer. What better way to get kids involved in Soccer than with the Madison Futbol Club.
The Madison Futbol Club is a non-profit, all volunteer organization. This helps to keep the costs down and allows for many children to play soccer.
Fall Registration begins August 14, 2010. Click here for details.
Soccer is probably one of the easiest games for young children to learn. The FIFA World Cup definitely added some excitement and conversation around Phoenix. During the final game, I couldn’t believe the amount of people watching the game at a local restaurant (and even those not watching the game) getting so excited upon each attempted goal. Even the servers had to turn their heads to see what the cheers were all about.
Soccer rules are pretty basic. Click here for the Madison Futbol Club rules.
If you do not live in the Phoenix area, find a soccer league in your neighborhood – maybe one that’s recognized and supported by your child’s school.
Even if your child decides not to join a Soccer league, just grab a ball and start kicking it around in your backyard. It’s easy, fun, and can be addictive.
