Al Franken has apologized for making Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell cry during debate concerning the Elena Kagan confirmation. During a speech by McConnell Franken began making faces and breathing hard causing McConnell to get quite upset. Later in private the Republican approached Franken saying, “This isn’t ‘Saturday Night Live’ Al.” The actions by Franken obviously brought back bad and hurtful memories of grade school show and tell.
“Obama is so out of touch, living in such a self-created fantasy world, and so full of himself that he’s starting to believe all of his own BS,” Said Rush Limbaugh while looking out of his glasshouse at fields of rocks.
Everyone has heard about Dr. Laura Schlessinger and her crazed explosion on air. The Doc it would seem needs some serious couch time of her own to address her racist anger issues. No apology repairs this kind of racist rant. We have to stop letting it go. These people go on racist tirades then apologize the next day and think it is okay. Well it is not and we have to stop tolerating it. They clearly state their true and actual views so if we disagree then we must not vote for them, listen to their programs and/or watch them.
How is it many politicians are talking about deficit reduction while also speaking about extending the Bush Tax cuts? Note to Politicians; we now have televisions that are capable of more than one channel at one time. We can see you saying opposite and opposing things on different channels at different times. Just saying.
“The Sarah” of course wants those Bush Tax cuts extended while reducing the debt by eliminating “Obamacare” as she calls it. Yes, let us eliminate health care for the poor that is the answer to everything. Yes, let us give large Tax cuts while we reduce monies for education and deny healthcare to poor children. Yes, “The Sarah” we understand you do not want to pay taxes on all those millions you are making from books and speaking engagements, however, others are truly suffering and at some point, you have to stop paying lip service to the issues and actually do something about it.
Furthermore, when you call for reductions in revenue you cannot as well complain about the deficit. The Bush Tax cuts are the largest cause of the structural deficit in the country. Just a thought; forget Tax cuts for now and let’s focus on not just deficit reduction but actually paying off the debt and as well having balanced budget legislation passed that ensures the Government has to be able to balance a check book. How can any Politician today go on television and complain about people living beyond their means when the Government is doing the same times ten Trillion?
Pay off the Deficit and shazam we will and can then have a National discussion on Tax cuts. We can talk about not just a Tax system overhaul but also a complete redesign of the system to make it fair for all people. Then we can also truly live out the ‘Promise’ of America.
