What product or service do you offer?
We offer specialized paralegal services for foreclosure defense attorneys and forensic loan audits to homeowners and attorneys.
How did your business get started?
I’ve been a paralegal for nearly fifteen years. I moved to Arizona in 2006 after finishing my master’s degree and worked for a large law firm, where I was bored stiff. I quit in 2007 and formed my own company. We’ve been growing ever since and it’s been challenging and very rewarding.
Please describe the perfect user of your product or service
The perfect user of my services would be attorneys who are helping homeowners defend foreclosures.
What goals have you set for your business that you hope to achieve in the next 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
In the next five years, my intention is to have market share of the loan audit products and related services in the United States. Many attorneys and judges don’t really understand what’s going on with foreclosure. The real estate problem isn’t going anywhere for the next several years, and these attorneys need help.
It’s hard to predict what we’ll do in ten years. The foreclosure case law and strategies change every couple of months, so it’s hard to say whether we’ll be doing the same thing or something completely different.
How have you promoted your business in the past?
In the past I went to in-person networking events.
What is your upcoming product strategy?
I am teaching others how to perform forensic audits, teaching attorneys how to defend foreclosures, and I have several other ideas for future services as soon as I have time to implement them.
What is your marketing strategy?
I use social media to market my business almost exclusively. I write the blog at www.foreclosureindustry.com, upload videos to YouTube, use Scribd, Facebook and Twitter. My social media strategy generates ten to thirty warm leads a week from homeowners and attorneys who ask for my help. I don’t routinely find that attending networking events in person is as effective of a strategy as social media.
How do you measure success?
Revenue. I keep a large post it pad on the wall in my office where I write down every cent that comes in. It’s not exactly the most revolutionary accounting method, but I’m not nearly as good at accounting as I am with the legal stuff. Tracking my revenue on even this basic of a level gives me a good benchmark of where I’m going. My revenue is 30% higher this year over last year.
