The coolness of lemon, the lusciousness of cream cheese, the slight crunch of a nutty crust – it’s all here! After the first bite, everyone asks for the recipe. It’s that good!
As we’re enjoying the last hurrah of the Michigan summer, here’s a delectable dessert to share with friends and family. It’s the perfect addition to any party, potluck, or dinner.
Lemon Lush Dessert Recipe
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 1 cup flour
- ½ cup peanuts, finely chopped
- 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 16-ounce container Cool Whip (divided)
- 2 3-ounce boxes instant lemon pudding mix
- 3 cups milk
Mix the butter, flour, and peanuts together. Pat into the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish. Bake for 10 – 13 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool completely.
Whip together the cream cheese and powdered sugar. Mix in ½ of the container of Cool Whip. Spread over the cooled crust.
Mix together the 2 boxes of instant lemon pudding with the milk until starting to thicken. Pour over the cream cheese crust.
Spread the remaining ½ of the Cool Whip over the top. Refrigerate for 1 hour prior to serving.
