Upon my adventures in the Atlanta area, I ran across a lady that caught my eye, she has a presence about her as confident, caring, and business. I would like to take this oppurtunity to bring into one of the secrets of Atlanta Daphne Ali. Daphne lives in Augusta, GA and is the co-owner of Kismet Entertainment, along with her husband. What caught my eye in her bio was that the world Kismet , means Destiny. Her mission with Kismet Entertainment is to provide a positive, quality and caring enviroment for up and coming artist such as musicians, models, and other talents in the industry. Currently Kismet Entertainment has 2 artists signed to their division, the femme phenom, Mary Jane (hip hop artist), and our Black Pink, Star Daniels
One would think this is enough to keep someone busy with a husband and two teenage daughters, however, Daphne also is the National Model Managere for ‘Project Curve Appeal“. Her mission with this is to encourage ladies of any size to be healthy and love themselves for who they are. Daphne herself had once felt negative feedback for her “Plus” label as a model herself. She has spent been a part of of the progject since May of 2009, bringing light into the world of plus size modeling and the beauty that it holds. A great way to promote ‘Do Not judge a book by its cover’, which should be done more in this society, my hat is off to you Daphne with this venture.
Daphnes latest enterprise is LushLyf . Lush Lyf consists of promotions, model management, image styling, and event planning. Lush Lyf can customize services towards other women in their prospective fields. LushLyf will be featuring classy, prominent women bi-weekly on their blogspot http://www.lushlyf.blogspot.com, please check it bi-weekly for more information.
She has also joined the team of ‘Six Twelve Magazine’ a digital media which is wonderful, promoting health, radiance, and self acceptance through it. Daphne is the executive Business Coordinator and handles all the sponsorships, partnerships, and events for the magazine. Daphne also helps with the non-profit organization “Mocha Sisters” which helps other young ladies in the community to acheive and understand integrity, honor and awareness of the commitment one should desire to have for their communities. Please visit http://www.mochasisters.org for detailed information.
What I respect most about Daphne other than her powerhouse biography and work , promoting self confidence for ladies that have little and she can help them shine with her gifts of artistic director of beauty ; is the fact she puts her family first. This is a true testament of a womans beauty and love. Daphne is a mother, wife, and daughter and she says herself ” I Believe in having a stable foundation, and that foundation begins at home. Without the support of my family , I would not be able to do the things I do”.
