One of my favorite places to shop and eat lunch is the Crocker Galleria, a spectacular glass pavilion soaring above three levels of stores, specialty shops and a diverse selection of restaurants. Located in the heart of the Financial District and the outskirts of Union Square, this beautiful shopping center is a great destination. Not only can you do some shopping at lunch, you can also pick up something to eat from a selection of choices at affordable prices.
Rumored to be modeled after Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, this is one beautiful shopping environment. On Tuesdays and Thursdays they feature a Farmer’s Market on the ground floor of the building. Come by on your lunch hour and get your produce shopping completed for the week. During the month of August there is live music each Wednesday as part of their summer concert series. One of my favorite escapes is their two roof gardens complete with seating, landscaping and views.
