Everyone can always use a little extra money, right? Or, what about scoring some great prizes? If you like to experiment with your own recipes, you should enter some contests to win cash and prizes. There actually was a young lady from Bristol who entered the Pillsbury Bake-off with a Pizza recipe and won $10,000 in 1979! Who knows, you could win big, or just get a great prize.
Philadelphia Cream Cheese
You could enter the Women of Philadelphia recipe contest. You must submit a recipe using at least two ounces of Philadelphia Brand Cream Cheese and less than ten other ingredients. The contest runs through November 7, 2010. There are weekly challenges and winners, and this week’s challenge is an International Side dish. See the video at the end of the article for a little inspiration on this week’s theme. You can enter this contest here. You could win $500.
Annie’s Naturals Salad Dressings
This recipe contest requires a recipe that uses one of the Annie’s Naturals Salad Dressings, which by the way are on sale for $1.49 at the Bristol Kroger right now. There is also a $1.00 off coupon on the display, and that makes them only forty-nine cents.
The prize is a Goddess theme Flip video camera, and these are wonderful. You just push a button and plug it into your computer to download. However, you have to have some kind of video camera to film your recipe being prepared. The video is uploaded to Youtube, and you then submit your information and link here. The winner is determined in pure Youtube fashion by how many hits your video gets. The Everyday Cooking with Annie’s Naturals Recipe Video Contest runs through October 31, 2010.
This BetterRecipes.com contest has a weekly winner through September 25, 2010, who wins $250.00. The eight weekly winners are then in the running for the grand prize of $2500. This contest is looking for original recipes for Easy Weeknight Meals.
There are more contests available to enter, and you just need to check online for endless opportunities. Here is a website dedicated to recipe contests.
