The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following incidents during the week of July 11-18:
July 12— 8:45 a.m., Domestic—
74866 Doan Road #56
Rainier— The reporting party called dispatched and requested law enforcement to respond to the above location. RP stated that his wife has been hitting and fighting with him for the last two days. Deputies arrived to the location and after interviewing the subjects, Jeannie Fischer, 41, of Clatskanie, was taken into custody for Assault IV and Interfering with making a report. Ms. Fischer was transported to and lodged in the Columbia County Jail.
July 12—10:30 a.m., Burglary—
64841 Meissner Road
DeerIsland— The reporting party stated that unknown suspects entered their residence while they were not home. The reporting party stated that the suspects entered the house through a back door. The reporting party also stated that jewelry, and prescription drugs and other items were taken. This case is still under investigation.
July 12—1:33 p.m., Theft—
50366 Columbia River Highway
July 12—2:41 p.m., Domestic—
35710 Hods Lane
St. Helens—A call was received at the dispatch center of a domestic dispute near the above location. It was reported that a male and a female were yelling and screaming at each other. Deputies arrived in area and contacted subjects. Deputies discovered that nothing physical had taken place and no crimes were committed. Peace was restored.
July 13—9:29 p.m., Theft—
75728 Apiary Road
Rainier— The reporting party stated that an unknown suspect(s) has broken into his shop on his property. The reporting party stated that more and more items are coming up missing. RP stated that approximately $20,000.00 worth of tools, machinery and other items have come up missing. This case is pending further investigation.
July 14— 1:29 a.m., Disturbance—
50366 Columbia River Highway
St. Helens, was taken into custody for Assault IV, three counts of Menacing and Probation Violation. Mr. McCartney was transported to and lodged in the Columbia County Jail.
July 15—12:58 p.m., Traffic accident—
57894 Cedar Creek Road
July 15— 5:17 p.m., Suspicious circumstances—
73974 Lost Creek Road
July 15—5:20 p.m., Traffic accident— Highway 30 & Firlok Park Street, in
St. Helens—The reporting party stated that they had seen an accident at the above location. It was reported as a non-injury accident. Deputies arrived on scene and investigated the accident. No citations were issued.
July 15—7:07 p.m., Suspicious person— 32405 Wikstrom Road, in Scappoose— The reporting party stated there was somebody walking down her road when she was arriving home. The subject jumped into the bushes when the reporting party pulled up and yelled at the reporting party when they were driving by. It was unknown if the male went inside the house or not. Deputies arrived to the location to locate the subject. Deputies searched the area and could not locate the suspect. The case is pending further information.
July 15—9:16 p.m., Violation of restraining order—
51328 Dike Road
St. Helens was taken into custody for Probation Violation and Contempt of Court. Mr. Flinn was transported to and lodged in the Columbia County Jail.
July 15—9:44 p.m., Domestic—
32981 Danny Street
July 16— 5:27 p.m., Domestic—
25779 Wolden Road
Rainier—A call came into the dispatch center to a domestic dispute at the above address. It was reported that the argument was between a male and female. Deputies arrived on scene and following an investigation, William Stanfield, Jr., 29, of
Rainier, was taken into custody for Probation Violation. Mr. Stanfield was transported to and lodged in the Columbia County Jail.
July 18—12:53 a.m., Criminal mischief— Cedar Creek Road and Scappoose-Vernonia Highway, in Scappoose—The reporting party stated that unknown subjects were throwing rocks at a relative’s vehicle. When deputies arrived in the area, they were unable to locate the subjects.
July 18—5:15 p.m., Disturbance—
34492 Berg Road #19
Warren— Law enforcement responded to the above location for a report of a disturbance. Following an investigation, Jeffery Lee, 37, of
Warren, was taken into custody for two counts of Menacing. Mr. Lee was transported to and lodged in the Columbia County Jail.
