GET READY FOR RESTAURANT WEEK! QUEEN’S FEAST KICKS OFF IN THE QUEEN CITY!
Do you love food? Do you love good deals? Do you love good restaurants? Well starting on Friday, July 16th, you can have all three. Yes! It is that time again. Charlotte Restaurant Week gives you an opportunity to sample delicious meals from some of the area’s finer restaurants without breaking the bank.
Restaurants from Dilworth to Southend to Gastonia are offering three course meals for only thirty dollars! You won’t have access to the restaurants’ entire menus, but the selections offered are more than enough to satisfy. For those of you new to the area, you get an opportunity to try out some of the best dining Charlotte has to offer. This may not be Miami or New York, but one thing southerners know is good eating!
If you’ve been waiting for a special occasion to try out The Melting Pot or Sullivan’s, there is no time like the present. Morton’s the Steakhouse currently has a special from now through September (look here) where you can have a three course meal for two for $99.00! You can get access to a similar menu during Queen’s Feast (another name for Restaurant Week) for sixty 60 bucks!
Go through all of the menus, select a restaurant, make reservations, set your hair appointment and dust off your good clothes! Tell your baby, honey, sugar, boo, whatever you call that special someone in your life, that you’re stepping out on the town. No sugar-boo to speak of? No problem. Call up your girlfriends and guy-friends and make it a social gathering. What a great time to play matchmaker with your friends!
Some of these places aren’t your regular family style restaurant or buffet, so please remember your best manners. This is a great opportunity to try something new if you have yet to step into the ritzy world of the “neuvo riche” or the “up and comers”. Not everyone can afford the prices these restaurants usually demand, but for one night you can enjoy it as though you sup this way all the time, darlings!
Fellas, try a hand at being a gentleman. Pull your lady’s chair out for her. Now don’t pull any pranks and let the doll hit the floor, save that for another time. Ladies, let your guy order for you. Be a princess for the night.
If the higher end places are not your thing, there are a variety of more family style restaurants offering the same deal of thirty dollars for a three course meal, and their menus may be more extensive, like Rocky River Grille & Lounge in Concord. Remember to tip and bring a little extra cash for valet parking and drinks.
