One of the things that most people don’t take the time to do is care for themselves. Because of this, Caring for Your Spirit, LLC – today’s Phoenix small business profile – is working to build Caring Warriors to help themselves and others through life coaching, spiritual coaching and hypnotherapy. Based in Phoenix, Caring for Your Spirit services customers out of their office, and also provides therapy over the phone and Skype! Discover more about them and what they can do for you below.
What product or service do you offer?
Life Coaching, Spiritual Coaching and Hypnotherapy services; Self-Care Boot Camp group coaching series; empowering presentations, workshops and teleconferences; and “Rejuvenating Refuge: Uplifting Journal for Caring Warriors”. Most of my services focus on guilt-free Self-Care for giving, caring people (whom I call “Caring Warriors”). Many are caregivers, parents, & professionals in helping fields.
How did your business get started?
I’ve been a caring person all my life. I was so busy giving to others that I’d neglect my own self-care. In my work as a Geriatric Social Worker, I realized many caregivers, professionals, and other caring adults experience the same phenomenon. Unfortunately, so many become burned out from over caring and then struggle with health problems themselves! I’ve made it my life mission to empower giving, caring adults in Tender Loving Self-Care (TLSC) without guilt. Caring for ourselves first, so we can care for others better!
Please describe the perfect user of your product or service
A giving, compassionate person who puts others’ needs before their own. Someone who longs for more time to themselves, because they’re feeling stressed, overwhelmed or exhausted. Yet they may feel guilty taking that time to themselves. Someone who values health, wellness, self-care and spirituality. Many of my clients are caregivers, parents, women, and professionals in helping fields. Many of them struggle with stress, self-care deficiency syndrome, lack of time to themselves, lack of confidence & self-esteem, insomnia, anxiety, depression, etc. One question I love to ask: “Does it ever feel like your “to-do” list more important than you?” Or “Think for a moment about your “to-do” list. Where do self-care and relaxation fall on it?”
What goals have you set for your business that you hope to achieve in the next 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
- Increased outreach to the LGBT community
- Leading workshops & presentations nation-wide
- Reaching a national and international audience
- Publishing affirmation cards, CDs, books, etc.
- Empowering 1,000,000 Caring Warriors in Tender Loving Self-Care (TLSC)
How have you promoted your business in the past?
Networking groups, Facebook, Meetup.com, media campaigns, word of mouth
What is you upcoming product strategy?
Listen carefully to my client’s wants & needs (the words they speak and what they leave unsaid) to determine how I can best support them. Upcoming products will likely include affirmation cards, affirmation CDs, books, guided visualization/hypnotherapy CDs, and a journal specifically for LGBT Caring Warriors.
What is your marketing strategy?
Continue building relationships, listening to Caring Warrior’s concerns, networking and building my web presence through articles and my self-care blog
How do you measure success?
The amount of empowerment my clients feel after a session or workshop; When I see a client claiming “me” time; When I make a difference in at least one Caring Warrior’s life each day, then I know I’ve been successful.
