A music documentary chronicling the life and work of the composer, lawyer, politician, and creator of copyright laws protecting Brazilian artists, Humberto Teixeira. Also known as “The Doctor of Baião,” he is celebrated for his popular classics, among them the “anthem of drought,” Asa Branca. The film accompanies his daughter, Denise Dummont, on a journey in search of knowledge about her father. The Man Who Bottled Clouds is a celebration of Teixeira’s artistic and musical work. Baião is rediscovered now and recorded by some of Brazil’s most vibrant stars.

In response to a newspaper advertisement, eighty-three women come to a studio to tell the stories of their lives. In June 2006, twenty-three of them were selected and filmed at the Glauce Rocha Theater in Rio de Janeiro. In September of the same year, professional actresses reenacted these stories.
