Sunday’s show lacked any kind of excitement. Unless you like to watch women being catty and men being… well you be the judge.
For the girls:
First you have Rachel’s infatuation with Brenden. ‘Showmance’ may be too light of a word for the relationship between these two. Don’t believe me? Here is a fun challenge count how many time she says Brenden in the next episode. I lost count this one. It was enough to be irritating. And anyone want to comment about the laughing? The only reason anyone in the house put up with it was because she was HOH ‘Head of Household’ and know one wanted to be put on the chopping block.
Then you have to give it to Britney and Monet; it was brilliant to separate themselves from the rest of the group when the HOH has made it very clear she doesn’t like Monet. The entire episode we got to hear the catty remarks from Britney about Rachel. Just some were about Rachel’s ‘butt cheeks’; Rachel’s HOH room, Rachel’s tequila, Rachel… Rachel… Rachel… But she did explain herself at the end of the show by mentioning her monthly visitor had come to call.
For the guys:
Andrew’s reaction when Rachel took HOH was beyond belief! He jumped up and down like a kid in a candy store. If he was trying to tell the world his friends were Rachel and Brenden then he made it clear they were his only friends in this game. Any safety net he might have enjoyed has now evaporated into a gigantic target on his back.
Hayden… what can we say about Hayden? He wasn’t fooling anyone with his big friend act to Rachel and Brenden. Who put Rachel up for elimination last week? He has so many strategies going it is hard to keep them straight. He must keep a ‘to do’ list in his back pocket. Befriend HOH, keep alliance to the ‘Brigade’, begin ‘showmance’ with Kristen. Is there another ‘showmance’ in the making? He definitely made it clear to Rachel that he didn’t want her to go. His interest is clear but Kristen’s is not. Many powerful men have been brought down by women.
Paranoid Matt, a strategy that baffles the mind. Not only did his strategy freak out Rachel and Brenden but it left the viewers scratching their heads. Seriously? His only saving grace is his membership in the alliance which will keep him safe for a while but he may want to think up a new strategy… unless his strategy is to be laughed off the show.
In the end Rachel saw through the lies that Monet and Britney told and placed both of them up for elimination. With their strategy of befriending no one they they don’t have much hope to be saved by veto. But we will have to check out Wednesday’s show to find out.
