“The Bachelorette” Ali and her three remaining bachelors traveled to Tahiti on episode nine, but things weren’t as romantic and blissful as Ali may have hoped when arriving on the tropical island.
Relive episode eight of ‘The Bachelorette’ season six
Frank may have decided to leave on his own, but it was doubtful Ali would have kept him after he visited his ex-girlfriend, Nicole, without telling her. Frank told “Bachelorette” host Chris Harrison that he hoped seeing Nicole would confirm his relationship with Ali; instead, he proved to himself that he didn’t want to be with anyone other than Nicole.

The men looked stunned when Frank didn’t show up to the rose ceremony. Ali was very vague when she told Roberto and Chris why Frank wasn’t there, but she made sure to tell them that she felt confident about the two men standing in front of her. Also, she made it clear that if they were planning to accept a rose that day, they needed to be 100 percent sure there was nowhere else they would rather be.
Ali and Roberto began their date with a helicopter ride over the island. Roberto said the flight, particularly because he was experiencing it with Ali was indescribable. He said he was excited about the possibility of proposing to Ali. Ali told viewers she felt she would be one of the luckiest women in the world if Roberto were her husband.

The couple’s day takes them to a private island with a heart-shaped lagoon where the two kiss and cuddle in the water. Roberto told viewers that at that moment he felt like the luckiest man in the world.
Over their candlelit dinner, Roberto planned to open up to Ali more than he said he has every opened up to another woman. Roberto told Ali she makes him very happy and said he definitely sees them together in the future. After Ali told Roberto that she sometimes feels nervous about his feelings for her, Roberto told Ali that he is falling in love with her. It took him a few minutes to get the words out, but Ali looked thrilled to finally hear it.

Chris L’s date
Ali and Chris spent the beginning of their date exploring Tahiti on a luxury boat. Ali and Chris talked a lot about their surroundings and how wonderful of a time they were having together, but they also talked about Ali’s recent visit to Chris’ hometown. Ali said she felt so comfortable with Chris’ family and loved being around them, especially being around Chris’ father. Ali and Chris acknowledged that their spark took a little longer to hit, but Ali said she was happy with the place they were while in Tahiti and the progress they were making as a couple.
Probably the sweetest part of Ali and Chris’ date was when they found pearls in shells in the ocean while walking through the water. Perhaps, those pearls were planted there by ABC, but I’d like to believe it happened just as viewers saw it. Ali compared the pearls to her and Chris’ relationship – slow to start but if you give it some time it turns in to something really special.

Ali’s dinner with Chris was much more casual than her date with Roberto but just as romantic. The couple enjoyed cocktails and used a bonfire to cook their dinner while discussing the journey they had been on over the last couple of months. Ali told Chris he wished she could have spent more time with his family because being surrounded by the people he loves is very important to him and is what makes him happy in life.
