A talented writer and author, Julianne Lee has offered two exciting and unique novels to historical fiction lovers. Not only a historical fiction author, but an author of historical fantasy as well, Julianne Lee has written some fabulous novels. Here is some more information on this great author.
Julianne Lee was born in California on a United States Navel base. She grew up with a father as a pilot and her mother as a former WAVE. She has many siblings as well. She started to write at the age of 12, but it was acting that was her true passion at the time. Julianne Lee attended college as an art major, but eventually decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue her acting dream. While attending the American Academy of Dramatic Arts she wrote her first novel, but still was not even sure being an author was her path.
Appearing in films such as “At Close Range” and a TV movie with Ann-Margaret was exciting for her, but she knew it was not going to be a long-term career. It was then that Julianne Lee officially turned to writing. She wrote manuscripts and networked and eventually sold her first short story called “Culture Control”. She then began to work for a local newspaper and eventually turned her two passions of acting and writing to a career in writing actor interviews for “Starlog Magazine”. She also wrote copy for video sleeves for Fox Home Video.
After 12 years her first novel was sold. “Son of the Sword”, a historical fantasy novel was her first published work. Other historical fantasy novels followed. It has been recent that Julianne Lee entered the world of historical fiction with “A Question of Guilt: A Novel of Mary, Queen of Scots and the Death of Henry Darnley” which followed the saga of if Mary, Queen of Scots was guilty of killing her husband. Another historical fiction novel with a unique introduction was “Her Mother’s Daughter” which tells the story of the life of Queen Mary Tudor also known as Bloody Mary.
Julianne Lee is married and has two adult children. She resides in Tennessee and enjoys gardening, crafts, and history. Her works are fresh and interesting and a great addition to the historical fiction world.
