“America’s Got Talent” had undoubtedly the greatest performance show of the season Tuesday night, which unfortunately meant that a few talented acts would be left out in the dust along the way. Who would they be?
- Mary Ellen
- Doogie Horner
This was probably the easiest decision America had to make this time around. Murray may be the best magician the show has ever seen, and based on his tricks alone thus far should make it to the finale.
There was then a brief interlude in which many contestants got to see “The Other Guys”, which is ironically the same movie from the “Big Brother” house. Why Prince Poppycock went with his makeup to the movie, no one will ever know … even if he is awesome.
- Taylor Matthews
- Da Maniacs
- Lindsey Sterling
This was another one of the easier decisions of the night, since the young girl audience will always vote for the young male singer with Justin Bieber hair. Of course, Taylor was the one who went through here. Now, things will really get interesting.
- Strikers All Stars
- Nu Covenant
- Prince Poppycock
This looked like it was going to be a difficult choice from the get-go. Both Strikers All Stars and Prince Poppycock could feasibly move on to the next round, and the dance crew and the advantage of going last. Even with that, the Prince’s fans voted enough to keep opera singer theatrical for one more week. Commence the celebration!
Speaking of celebrations, how great was it seeing Bret Michaels give an acoustic performance of “Every Rose Has Its Thorn”? It’s a classic song, and Bret’s recent health scares seem to give it so much more meaning.
The Final Three
- Anna and Patryk
- Rudy Maccagi
All three of these acts would have went through on any other night, but Tuesday night was just too good. Rudy is a genuine Vegas act, so he will likely be okay now that he is gone.
Now, it came down to a tough choice — the guys with electricity or the ballroom kids. Piers sided with the dancers, but the other two decided to side with ArcAttack (and their one guy who looks suspiciously like Joshua Gomez from “Chuck”).
Did America (and the judges) choose right?
