Do you have a dream you are working to fulfill although you live with a disability? Grab your video camera and get it on tape! If your three-minute video is a winner, you will receive $1,000 and a trip to Washington, D.C.
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, The National Disability Institute (NDI) presents Economic Empowerment – Defining the New American Dream, a nationwide video contest open to all persons with disabilities.
The NDI is encouraging persons with disabilities and their families to capture their American Dream and how they are working to achieve it on video. Entries must be received by August 13, 2010.
The first contest guideline summarizes the contest: “Participants must create a video that tells the viewer their dream and how they are working to achieve that dream. For example, ‘My dream is to own my own condo, I am working, budgeting and saving money each month to achieve my dream.'”
