“2 oz. pours strictly enforced” will be the chant heard throughout the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale on Saturday, November 13, 2010, when once again, the Long Island International Great Beer Expo imparts its mouth-watering inventory of foaming, liquid gold. “2 oz. pour” refers to the size of each sample that will flow from the taps, cans and bottles that day.
The Expo is so popular that two sessions have been scheduled in order to accommodate the throngs of regional beer tasters who participate each year.
The Long Island International Great Beer Expo has established a home at the Nassau Coliseum.
November’s event, the International Great Beer Expo 2010, marks three consecutive years that the Nassau Coliseum has successfully hosted this Starfish Junction Productions’ celebration; judging by the turnout and the volume of beer dispensed, the Nassau Coliseum and Starfish Junction Production’s Andy Calimano and Ed Duhon must be pleased.
The beer tasting experience at the Nassau Coliseum is truly an international affair.
The official website for the International Great Beer Festival 2010 describes the global flavor of this truly “sudsy” line up:
“Shoulder to shoulder with some of America’s best breweries, including local Long Island favorites, will be amazing breweries from Japan, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Ireland, Mexico, Austria, Nicaragua, Thailand, Poland, New Zealand, Indonesia, Sweden, China, and others.”

The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation are two charitable organizations with links to the International Great Beer Expo 2010 website.
The close working relationship between the International Great Beer Expo 2010 and the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund can be summed up by a passage from the International Great Beer Expo’s website:
“The Great Beer Expo is proud to support the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund. The event attendees experience superb international beer and have the opportunity to support a worthwhile organization. Please support The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund by joining Starfish Junction and other local fire departments at the expo.”
